Home Inventory Remains Low

Homes are selling quickly. How quickly? Well, according to a report recently released by the National Association of Realtors, the average home was for sale for only 28 days in June. And in May, the average home was available for 27 days.

Here in New Jersey it’s a slightly longer time span. The average home in New Jersey is currently available for a period of between 30 and 45 days. That’s still an incredibly short time.

The inventory of available homes is extremely low. If your home is for sale, and it has been for sale for more than 45 days, you need to take a good look at why. There are many reason why a home doesn’t sell. It may be bad location, there may be issues with the condition it’s in, or maybe it’s simply out dated. But these issues can be solved by pricing it properly.

But if you have been thinking of putting your home on the market, now would be a great time to do so.
