We haven’t moved our clocks forward for daylight savings time yet. But we will be doing just that very soon. If you’re thinking of selling this year, you should be looking forward and putting your house on the market now.

Low Inventory

There is an extreme lack of inventory available. Buyers are out looking for homes, but their choices are limited. All of this means that the buyers who are out there have a limited pool of properties to select from. In addition, the buyers are forced to pay a premium price in order to get their dream home before someone else does. As a result, this makes it more likely that you will receive a quick offer, and quite possibly a higher-priced offer.

Interest rates are still low, as they are currently around 4.5%.  However, the demand for housing has remained strong even in the early Spring Market. Those sellers who act quickly and list now will reap the benefits from increased exposure to buyers. If you’ll be selling in 2019 you should consider listing your home before the flood of additional properties come to the market in the next few months.
