Why Realtors do not like working with renters.

Most Realtors do not want to work the rental market. And there’s a good reason. We don’t like to work for less than minimum wage.

Let me explain what I’m talking about.

I kept track of my time. one year when I was actively working with renters. The last thirteen people I took out to show rentals, five of the thirteen, after I showed them the first round of available rentals, I never heard from them again. They didn’t return my phone calls or email messages.

Four more of the thirteen, I showed them available units going out two times. And then I never heard from them again. Three other people I showed multiple rental units to. And at some point in time everyone told me thank you for your time but we found something our own or with another Realtor. After putting in well over 40 hours of my time and driving a lot of miles, I wrote one rental contract. On that rental contract I made less than $300 before taxes.

This is why I don’t like working with renters. It’s financially just not worth while
